Hämorrhoiden is referred to a state in which the blood vessels surrounding the anus or rectum are inflamed or swells. It may originate due to strain or force exerted during bowel movements.
It is common among people who suffer from constipation or diarrhea. Obese people are also affected as they have to exert high pressure on the rectal veins. Hämorrhoiden does not pose any danger and usually fades away in few days.
The general sign of an internal hämorrhoiden is fresh red blood along with the stool or on toilet papers. An internal hemorrhoid might hang from the anus outside the rectum making it area itchy, irritating and sore. This state is termed as a protruding hemorrhoid.
Indication of external Hämorrhoiden consists of agonizing swelling or solid lumps around the anus region that forms due to blood clot in that area. This state is termed as a thrombosed hemorrhoid.
